DAY 8 | Pray For a Greater Manifestation of The Gifts of The Spirit

Pastor Kerrick Butler

SENIOR PASTOR | FAITH CHRISTIAN CENTER | AUSTELL, GA

Hi. I am Kerrick Butler from Faith Christian Center. Thank you for being a part of the 30 days of prayer. Your prayer life matters. Your prayer supply matters. So let’s keep going praying together because we know God can cause tremendous things to happen through our praying because we know that prayer produces tremendous, miraculous power. Today I want to encourage you to pray for a greater manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. The gifts of the Spirit are not just automatic saying, “If God wants it to happen, it will just happen automatically.” Now, that is part of it because God is sovereign but He has instructed us to desire the gifts. Desire means to want, to crave. Even in the Greek it says to covet. That means you want to strongly go after the gifts of the Spirit. And one of the ways that we do that is through prayer - by asking God for a greater manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. It is not just saying, “If God wants to move, He is going to move.” No. No. No. He wants us to partner with Him in prayer where the gifts of the Spirit are concerned. So here are some things that you should pray for. Pray for the free flow of the gifts of the Spirit throughout the services and gatherings that you may be attending at your church, of course, and other meetings. You want to pray for free flow of the Holy Ghost - a free flow - a greater manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. But the gifts of the Spirit aren’t supposed to just be limited to church meetings, to Sundays, to Wednesday nights or whenever you gather. The gifts of the Spirit are meant to flow through the lives of believers. So yes, pray for greater manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit in church, but pray for a greater manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit in your life. That’s right. God wants to use you in the gifts of the Spirit. It starts by praying and making yourself available in prayer. On top of that, you might say, “I have seen some wonderful gifts of the Spirit. It’s going great at church on Sunday or Wednesday.” I want to encourage you today: don’t be satisfied with what you have seen. Jesus said that those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled. So if you don’t stay hungry, if you don’t stay thirsty, you won’t see more. So when praying for greater manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit today, we have to desire more. That means we are grateful for everything we experience but we know because God is Almighty God - He is the all powerful God – He is El Shaddai – He has more for us today. So I encourage you to pray for a greater manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit in your church, in your personal life, and for God to go above and beyond all that you have seen in the past. Have a wonderful day. Thank you for being a part of the 30 days of prayer.
