Welcome back to 30 days of prayer. Today we are going to pray for the volunteers in our local church.I want to start by reading1 Corinthians chapter 12, verse 28, “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”I want to focus on that word helps. I want you to know that your local church needs help in fulfilling the vision God has for it and the main way that help is received is through the tithe, services, gifts, and talents of all the volunteers that are at your church and they need your prayers.
I’m going to read one more verse and that isMark chapter 10, verse 29, “And Jesus answered and said,Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time.”We want to pray that all those who are giving of their time, their efforts, their energy to help those that are in need, to help fulfill the vision of your church—we want to pray that they receive a hundredfold.We want to pray that God blesses their socks off—that every need they have is met—that while they are at the church taking care of God’s people that He is at their home taking care of their families. We want to pray that they fulfill the individual calling they have on their life - that they have answers to questions and solutions to problems. There is so much that you can pray. Get a heart for those that are sowing their time into your church and pray for them. And while you are praying, make sure that you are praying and make sure that you are where you need to be, as far as helps are concerned. Your local church needs you to help, to give of the many gifts and talents God has blessed you with.
So right now, take the time. Pray for those who are currently volunteering. Pray that God leads you to where you need to be in your local church. All right. It is time to pray. Pray for the volunteers in your church. Pray that you have a heart and you are open to receiving whatever God has for you in regards where you need to be in your local church. Now is the time to pray. Let’s go.
