DAY 7 | Pray For Volunteers in Your Church

Pastor Ray McClintock

WORD OF FAITH | SOUTHFIELD, MI

Hello. I am Pastor Ray McClintock from headquarters church here in Southfield, Michigan. It is my privilege to bring you day 7 of our 30 days of prayer campaign. I have been in full-time ministry for 20 years and the all the men and women that I know in ministry started out in the helps ministry. If you want to do something great for God, I have the perfect place for you to start and that is the beginning of all ministries - the ministry of helps. The Scripture tells us to despise not small beginnings. I remember being in Bible school, while I was also in the helps ministry. So as I was learning how to be a faithful servant of God, I also had the opportunity to apply this knowledge of being a good servant. You see Jesus was the perfect servant leader. If you are looking to begin in construction, you would begin as a laborer. If you were looking to get into business, you might begin as a clerk. These are entry points to areas of service. If you are looking for entry points to ministry, there are many that all fall under the heading of helps. They all do what the name says - they help. In many cases, you don’t have much knowledge or understanding, but just be willing to help another man or woman be faithful to that particular area of service. You begin in prayer to identify where you would serve in the helps ministry. In first Corinthians chapter 12, verse 27-31 says, “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.” Notice that in verse 28 you are not setting yourself, but you are being set by God. So if you are not already a servant in the ministry of helps, let’s open the door with prayer and let God set you where you belong, helping the body of Christ by you beginning this journey to do great things for God. So, good and faithful servant, know that Bishop and Pastor Deb love you and they pray for you. This is Pastor Mack saying, “God bless you,” from the headquarters church and I am looking forward to serving beside you going forward.
