Hello and welcome to 30 days of prayer. I'm Minister Kristina Jenkins. Today we're praying over our educational systems. I want to read to you a Scripture today from Psalm 111 verse 10, and it's something that's repeated quite often in the Old Testament. It says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.” You know, the fear of the Lord really is loyalty to God and making a determination to follow His covenant, to do things the way that He has led us to do. So we want to yield our supply of the Spirit today to pray over our educational systems that write on the hearts and minds of our children. We want to pray, first and foremost, for those that are in leadership, those that are making the decisions in the school boards, in the state departments of education, for example, those that are superintendents, those that are principals and at different administrators. We want to pray that they're anointed to do what they're called to do. We want to pray that godly men and women who fear the Lord are placed into those positions and raised up so that our children can have an opportunity to receive the instruction that they need, but in a way that's not hostile to God. We want to pray over our students. We want to pray for their safety and their protection. We want to pray that God raises up Daniels and Esthers and Josephs in this time that are able to do what God has called them to do and point people to God, even in those places where there may be hostility towards God. And then we also want to pray for the teachers in particular. There's a shortage of teachers in many places. We want to pray for God's people to be placed in those positions that are able to write on the hearts of our young men and women, to lead them in a way that is compassionate, but also in a way that they should go because when you have people in authority, when you have students who fear God, when you have those people in place, it gives God the ability to do what He wants to do in our educational system. So I encourage you today, as you spend time in prayer, to pray for wisdom, to pray for those that have the fear of God to be placed in those positions, to pray that our students are covered and protected, that we don't have any more school shootings and incidents of that nature, to pray for godly leadership in the education systems and even in the colleges and institutions, that those who are there that maybe aren't speaking up would be bold and be able to speak out what God would have them to say and to show the truth and lead people in the way of truth. And also one last thing I would encourage you to pray for today is for our students, for their identity, that they would come to find out who they are in Christ, that they wouldn't be confused about who they are and lured into the trap that the enemy would have for them, but that they would recognize that they're fearfully and wonderfully made and that God has a purpose and a plan for them and one that they can walk out. So let's join our faith today. Bring your supply of the Spirit and let's pray over our educational systems today, in Jesus name.
