DAY 3 | Pray For Strong Families and Marriages

MINISTER KRISTINA JENKINS

WORD OF FAITH | SOUTHFIELD, MI

Hi. I am Kristina Jenkins. Welcome to our 30 days of prayer campaign. Today we are going to pray for strong families and strong marriages. Did you know that marriage and family was God’s idea?God said,“It was not good for man to be alone. So I will make a help meet for him.”Then, He gave instruction to Adam and Eve to go forth and have more children and to populate the earth. And so, it is a very basic unit of society. It is a very important unit of society that God has created and it is important for us to focus on this and pray over this so that we can be strong. We can raise strong children who know the Lord and they can go forth and they can have a godly marriage, and they can raise strong children. And even for those who are not married—maybe you are a widow, maybe you are divorcee—it is important that your family unit be strong and God has a plan and a purpose for your family in a way to make sure nothing is missing and nothing is broken if you walk hand and hand with Him.

Do you know - one of the most important things to me about family—one of the things that I think is really, really helpful is1 Corinthians chapter 13—really relationships in general. So I’m going to read to you just here for a second out of1 Corinthians 13. It says inverse 4out of the Amplified Classic version,“Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].”Jumping to verse 7,“Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end].”

So love is a major factor in our marriages and I encourage you today to pray that the love of God that has been shed abroad in our heart by the Holy Ghost flows through you to your spouse or to your children or those who you are in a relationship with, so that we can have strong marriages, strong family units and we can set the standard in the earth for what God wants Christians to look like—what He wants Christian families to look like and legacy and heritage, so that we can continue to point people to Him. As you go and pray and have a wonderful day in Jesus, remember to walk in love especially with those of your own household.

Good evening Heavenly Father, and if it's your will. To show us how important for us to love our family. As all know, things will come to the point of men, women, and children. Will do something wrong in the marriage or a relationship. That would be all against you for family and marriage. I remember when I was married and wanted a happy wife and home. But I'm not married anymore. We must follow your plan, Jesus, and things will work out for good. In Jesus' name, Amen 🙏 🙌 ✨️ ❤️.

Thank you. I particularly like the scripture reference for today's prayer topic. This is a needed reminder to walk in love for & with your family.
