DAY 24 - Pray For Religious Freedom
Minister Gregory Donaldson
Word of Faith Southfield, MI
Welcome to 30 days of prayer. Today’s prayer focus is religious freedom. Religious freedom is the right to choose a religion without interference or hindrance from government or authorities. It also protects your right to live, speak and act and express your faith. It also gives you the opportunity to declare Jesus as Lord and Savior in private and public forums. There was a case here where the government said to a community that you cannot worship God in the privacy of your own home. That is an attack on religious freedom. Apostle Paul said it best in second Thessalonians 3:1. He said, “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you.” That word ‘glorified’ means honor. It means magnify. It means high esteem. And Paul was saying that glorifying and lifting up the Word of God unhindered will have its course. We pray right now and declare that this religious freedom is more than just about praise and worship because without the Word of God, all men cannot be saved and come into the knowledge of Christ. Pray these four things with me today as we pray today. Number one pray that religious freedom and freedom of speech is granted to all around the world. Number two, let’s pray for all in authority. Pray that the eyes of their understanding are enlightened and as they make choices, they are choices based on protecting and enhancing religious freedom. Number three, let’s pray for wisdom over ourselves – wisdom as we vote, as we select presidents, as we select judges, as we surround ourselves with people that they are godly men and women who promote religious freedom and support religious freedom. Number four, let’s not take for granted our religious freedom. Let’s exercise our religious freedom and share the Word of God with all those that we encounter, giving all an opportunity to declare Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and come into the knowledge of God. God bless you. I want you to have a wonderful day and know that Jesus is Lord.
