Greetings and welcome back to our 30 days of prayer. I'm Minister Kila Turner and today we are going to pray for religious freedom. You know, there was a time where many nations embraced believers and the ability for us to freely share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and live our lives in line with the Word of God. If they didn't embrace it, at least they would tolerate it. But now it's very clear that the tides have turned. You know, as we come closer to the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Satan is trying any and everything that he can to hinder the Gospel of Jesus Christ from being proclaimed. But you know, the Word tells us in first John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” So we are going to pray, first of all, that the Word of the Lord will have free course. That means run rapidly spread quickly in Jesus name and that we will have no hindrances from the sharing the Word of God and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And then also of course in second Thessalonians chapter 3 verse 1 - that second verse says that we be delivered from unreasonable and wicked man because the Word tells us when the righteous are in authority the people rejoice, but when the wicked bear rule the people mourn. So we need to pray that we are delivered from those unreasonable and wicked men and we can have even legislation enforced and passed to protect our rights to live our lives according to the Word of God. Next, we want to pray that the Lord would give us boldness so that we can speak as boldly as we ought to and that the Lord will be glorified. We don't have to be afraid of retribution and rejection, but the Lord will grant unto us boldness by stretching forth His hand to heal and by signs and wonders being done by the name of His holy child Jesus. And so that's what we want to pray for that we would be used in that way. And lastly, we want to pray according to Colossians chapter 4 verse 3 that the Lord will open up doors of utterance - that divinely inspired speech - those words that will penetrate the hearts of those that we come in contact with and again that we have influence in every realm of life - in our government and our schools and our businesses - even in the media - that those doors will be open unto us and we are freely able to proclaim that Jesus is Lord. So today pray for religious freedom in Jesus name.
