Welcome to day 17 of 30 days of prayer. I am Minister Jasmine Haynes and today we are praying for individuals who are struggling with their identity. We are living in a time where people don't know who they are, what they are or what they are called to do. People are looking for their identity in cars and clothes and women and men - in politics and even in their careers. We have social media that are leading to feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. We have societal pressures and conversations about race, gender ideology, politics, sexual orientation, etc. Those conversations across the world are leading people to lose sight of self and who God called them to be. But we know exactly who God has called us to be in Him. John 3:16 says that we are so loved. 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us that we are new creatures. Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are God's handiwork created in Him to do good works. We have 1st Peter 2:9 that tells us that we are chosen. Psalms 139:14 says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. And Acts 17:28 tells us that for in Him we live and move and have our being. Our identity is firmly rooted and established in Christ and in Christ alone. So today we want to pray for people struggling with their identities. We want to pray for those individuals to know the hope of their calling for the eyes of their understanding to be enlightened. We want to pray that they find themselves in the voice of God who is the only one who has the power to tell them who they are. We want to pray that the stranger's voice they will not follow. We want to pray that they are free from deception in the wiles of the enemy. We want to pray that they find themselves rooted in the Word of God because we know that the entrance of God's Word brings light. Let us pray.
