DAY 16 | Pray For Strength and Endurance

MINISTER LINDA BURDETTE

WORD OF FAITH | SOUTHFIELD, MI

Hi. My name is Linda Burdette and today our prayer focus is strength. I believe today’s focus is something that we all can identify with because at one time or another, we all called out to the Lord for strength. And perhaps you are watching right now and you feel vulnerable, you feel that you are all alone and you need help. Well, I want you to know that you have help.Psalm 37, verse 39says,“But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.”So you see the Lord is your strength. But perhaps you need to know how to tap into that strength.

The first thing that you need to do is to stop looking at yourself and to others, but to look at the Lord.Psalm 121, verse 2says, “My help cometh from the Lord.”And all of your help comes from the Lord. Help is just another word for strength, but if you will recognize that all your help comes from the Lord, and drop to your knees and turn your problem over to God, you will see that He will infuse you with super natural strength—power and sustaining ability.

The second thing you need to do is rejoice.Nehemiah chapter 8, verse 10says,“The joy of the Lord is our strength.”So your joy comes from within. It does not come from without. Joy comes from the Word ofGod that is deposited into your heart. The things that happen to us in life cannot affect our joy because joy comes from the Lord. So stir up that joy and let God strengthen you and empower you to carry on.

The third thing that you need to do is to say what the Bible says about you. What does the Bible say about you? He says that you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. He says that you are more than a conqueror through Him that loves you. He says that you win in life—that you are the head and not the tail. He says that you overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. He says that you are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. So speak out of your mouth what the Bible says about you and you will see that your strength will be renewed like the eagle.

Well, that is it ladies and gentlemen. I hope that you were blessed by our devotional today. But now it is time to pray. So let’s pray for every person that is vulnerable and feeling weak right now, and needs to sense the power of God to strengthen them in their inner man.
