DAY 16 | PRAY FOR SPIRIT FILLED LEADERS TO IMPACT YOUR NATION

Praise the Lord. This is Pastor Ward from Word of Faith Toronto. Welcome to 30 days of prayer. Today is day number 16. Today we are going to pray for spirit-filled leaders to impact your nation. As I was thinking about this, I was taken to our foundation text, which is 1 Timothy chapter 2, and verse 2 says to pray for kings and all that are in authority. In authority is referring to people of influence. And of course, we know that kings, prime ministers, presidents, they have people around them that are advisors, and God wants to use these advisors to impact these leaders. Well, I was taken to Daniel chapter 1, and I was reminded of when the children of Israel went into Babylonian captivity. And listen to what verses 3 and 4 says. It says, “And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes; Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.” And so I believe that God put it on Nebuchadnezzar's heart to raise up certain people. Well, we find who they picked. Well, they picked Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Of course, those were their Hebrew names. And then their names were changed to Meshach, Shadrach, and Abednego, and then Daniel's name was changed to Belteshazzar. These were their Babylonian names. And God used these men greatly. And the reason He was able to use them greatly is because, number one, they were called by His name, but number two, they were uncompromising. And so today what we want to do is pray for our nation, for these leaders to be raised up, for God to raise up men and women to sit in these positions of influence and authority, to be able to speak His Words into the king's life. The Bible says that promotion doesn't come from the east, the west, or the south. It comes from the north, who is God Himself. And God is able to put these people into these positions so that they can speak into the king's life, whether they know the Lord or they don't, so that God can influence our nation to do His will. We're in very dark times, and we need light in our nation. We need light in the president's palace, in the king's palace, in the places of authority in our nation, so that God can do what He wants, because His desire is that all men come to the knowledge of the truth, and God is going to use these people in our nation in order to bring forth His will and to bring more light into our nation. Today as you pray, pray boldly for them, and we believe that God is going to do great things. Call you blessed in Jesus' name.
