Hi, this is Pastor AnJolo here in Pensacola, Florida, at our naval installation here at NAS Pensacola, and it is exciting to be on day 14 of our 30 days of prayer, and today our focus is praying for our military and first responders. See, the Word of God tells us in 1 Timothy chapter 2, specifically in verses 1 and 2, it says, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;” In verse 2 it goes on to say, “For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” See, the word there, authority, in the Greek means those who have ranking superiority. The Word also tells us in Proverbs 29:2, that when the righteous are in authority, the people will rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people will mourn. It is so important that we pray for those in our first responder categories, those in our military, those who have authority to protect us in the natural. What is it that we pray? Well, we pray that there are righteous men and women in those places of authority, in our military, with our first responders, so that we don't just have done what's right because it's right, but it's done right because it's righteous. And so, we're praying today that not only God protect our military, protect our first responders, but that them and their families who don't know Jesus Christ, as their personal Lord and Savior, will come to know who He is, that they will be graced in their lives and in their work, and that there will be revival throughout our military, revival throughout our first responders categories, so that people will be not only saved naturally, but that they will be saved spiritually.
