DAY 13 | PRAY FOR A GREAT SPIRITUAL AWAKENING AROUND THE WORLD

Hello my name is Minister Jason Mitchell and I want to welcome you to day 13 of our 30 days of prayer. Today we are going to pray for a great spiritual awakening around the world. I think it is obvious to the most casual observer that the world is in need of a spiritual awakening. Everywhere you look it seems as though evil is being celebrated - violence and riots cover the streets of the United States, Europe and the rest of the world. There are wars and rumors of wars. But I want you to be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome the world. Our scriptural reference today comes second Chronicles chapter 7, verse 14 and it reads, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” This verse shows us that we have a responsibility in our nation and in the world being healed. Our responsibility is to humble ourselves, to pray and to seek the face of God. We want to pray for kings and all that are in authority so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. We want to pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on presidents, prime ministers, congressional bodies and Parliament. Let’s pray that the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers will open their mouths boldly to make known the mysteries of the gospel and that they will speak with all boldness as they ought to speak. Let’s also pray that the Word of God is taught and received throughout the world. We want to pray that the entire counsel of God from Genesis to Revelation is preached and taught without being hindered, stopped or blocked in any way. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit will open the eyes of those who have been blinded and their hearts hardened so that they will see and understand with their hearts that they might be born again. Despite everything that we see in the world, I have the fundamental belief that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. So join me today as we pray for a great spiritual awakening around the world and let’s watch God move mightily as we His people ask Him to move. Let’s pray.
