DAY 11 | Pray For the Educational System

Minister Kila Turner

WORD OF FAITH | SOUTHFIELD, MI

Greetings and welcome back to our 30 days of prayer. Today we are praying for our nation’s educational systems. No matter where you are in the world, we need to pray for those who are responsible for educating our babies in the nurseries and day cares, all the way through our university and college levels, even postgraduate levels. In our schools, they have moved from simply providing information and instruction to blatant indoctrination of the secular world view and we can put a stop to this, first of all, through the Spirit in prayer. So we are going to pray specifically according to the Word. The Lord tells us that we are to pray for those in authority, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. And we need all of those things in our classrooms. So today pray for your Secretary of Education on the national as well as the state level, or the governing body - those who are responsible for formulating policies that affect our school systems. Pray for them by name. First of all, if they are not already born again, pray that they receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Then, pray that they be filled with the knowledge of God’s will and all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Pray that they are surrounded by godly counsel and advisors - those that have a heart to hear from the Lord and follow His plan. We need to pray the same thing for our teachers and administrators within the schools - that they are open and receptive to the direction of the Lord. Pray for those who have influence, like curriculum developers and education associations. Those who have a voice in our schools - we need to pray that their voice is reflective of the heart of God. Pray for our students – that they are sharp - they are quick and alert - they have a quick understanding – that the eyes of their understanding be brightened up so they will know the hope to which they are called. We need to pray for the protection over our schools. Plead the blood of Jesus over them that no weapon formed against them will prosper. And lastly, we need to pray for our parents - that their rights will be restored and increased and they have a voice in the schools, in Jesus’ name.
