DAY 11 | PRAY FOR PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS

Hi, I'm Minister Linda Burdett and today is day 11 of our 30 days of prayer and today we will be praying for Christians facing persecution all around the world. 380 million Christians experience persecution for their faith every single day. Now, that is more people than the population of the United States. Persecution is not a new phenomenon. It's been around as long as there's been people who believe in the living God. They have been persecuted in the Bible days and they are persecuted today, but at a much larger scale. Now, you might ask - well, who's behind all this? It's Satan. The Bible tells us in 2nd Corinthians chapter 4 verse 4 that Satan is the god of this world and this verse lets us know who is behind all the persecution of Christians - Satan himself. You see Satan's goal is to create a godless society where people do not believe in a Supreme Being and do not respect the sanctity of the Bible. And you might ask - well, why does he want that? Because he hates God and he hates anybody that God loves and that's you and me. So our prayer today is intentional. Our prayer today is very much warranted. Jesus also tells us how we should respond to persecution in Luke 4:44. He says that we are to love our enemies, bless them that curse us and to do good to them that hate us. And He also says that we are to pray for them who despitefully use us and persecute us. Ladies and gentlemen, our prayer today for this issue is very much needed. So won't you take some time to pray with me today for those Christians who have been threatened, mocked and killed, even here in the United States for their faith? Pray that they remain strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Pray for those that are in the 10/40 window where they cannot live their faith out loud because it's illegal to do so. Pray that God supernaturally strengthens them. Pray that there come an end to the murder of Christians in North Africa. And lastly, pray that the Lord of the harvest, that  He would send more laborers into all of Europe, Africa, North America, South America, Asia for the preaching of the Gospel - that the Gospel be preached unhindered and with power and demonstration of the Spirit of God.
