Day 21 - Pray For Youth Struggling with Suicidal Thoughts
Minister Keith Fritz
WORD OF FAITH TORONTO, CANADA
Today, we are going to pray for teens struggling with suicidal thoughts. The suicide rate for teenagers is climbing at an alarming rate. It is a very serious matter and it deserves our attention. As Christians, we want to be able to help those who consider or attempt suicide to choose a future and a hope instead. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” If you are consumed with thoughts of suicide, it is a result of believing the lies of the enemy.
John 10:10 says the thief’s purpose is to steal, to kill, and to destroy. Steal from you, kill you, and to destroy you. You want to stay with God’s plan to give you a rich and satisfying life. First Peter 5:7 says, “Give all your worries and cares to God for He cares about you.”God loves you so much. When you feel alone, God says, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” When you feel invisible, God sees you. God says in His Word, “I knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb.” God says that “you are fearfully and wonderfully made.” You are worth more than you know.
When you often feel out of place and you don’t fit in, or you don’t want to fit in, God says that you are strong in Him and in His mighty power and that the One in you is greater than the one that is in the world. When you feel discouraged and depressed, God says, “Even though you walk through the darkest valley, don’t be afraid. I am right there beside you.” Your life is not yours to take. God says you were bought with a price and you belong to Him. So when you feel overwhelmed with these thoughts, remember that Jesus did not come to the earth for you to live a defeated life. He came so that you can live a victorious life. I pray that you grab a hold of the fact of the revelation that God loves you so much, and there is nothing that can separate you from God’s love for you. I pray today that you stay with God’s plan. Stay with His plan… that good plan. Trust His Word. Be blessed.
