Day 18 - Pray for a Great Awakening in your School
Glory Phi God Youth Ministry
WORD OF FAITH, SOUTHFIELD MI
What’s up G-Phi? My name is Joshua Andrade and I am from Word of Faith in Southfield, Michigan. And today for 30 days of prayer we are going to be praying for a great awakening for revival in our school systems. So let’s open our Bibles to James 5:17. And it reads, “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.” In this passage of Scripture, we see a man or prophet named Elias in the Old Testament praying for rain and then no rain. However, we live under the New Testament or the new agreement established by Christ. So all Christians have the immediate access to the explosive power of God. Now, we know that education is the foundation of our nation. And we know that education raises of children in the way that we need them to go. However, God has been excluded from that process lately and teenagers all across the world have been led astray.
So, as believers, it is our responsibility to pray them back in. In Acts 9, we see that the early church rested and took time to actually seek the face of God. So in order to pray accurately, we must do the same. In order to see miracles in our public school systems and to see Jesus at the forefront of an academic revival, we must do the same. And so, I have three things that we need to pray for specifically. First, we must pray for boldness in our school systems and that we need to have boldness for ourselves. Then we can do the work necessary. Two - that we understand what God wants us to do in our school systems. And three - we pray and thank God in advance for an abundant harvest and revival in our school systems. So in your time with God today, make sure that you pray for our schools and make sure that you remember every success is a prayer success. God bless.
