DAY 28 - Pray For Africa
Pastor Bethel Choto
Word of Faith Miracle Christian Ministries
Pretoria, South Africa
My name is Bethel Choto and I am Senior Pastor for Faith4Life, South Africa.
Today is day 28 and we are praying for the continent of Africa. Our prayer will be
based on the following Scriptures: first Timothy chapter 2, verse 1 and 2 and I
will read from the King James. “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications,
prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and
for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all
godliness and honesty.” The next Scripture that I will be reading from is Proverbs
chapter 29, verse 2, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but
when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” Let us pray first for those in
authority - the Presidents and the Prime Ministers of the nations of Africa that
the people of Africa can have good governance in this generation. We pray that
the dictators who will hold on to power by any means and leave us without any
accountability on human rights, justice and rule of law will be replaced by men
and women of integrity. For leaders who have people at heart - not leaders who
have their own selfish interests. We come, again, as tribal leaders wars led by
Islamic extremists and terrorists that is destroying most of the continent. We pray
for the African continent because the citizens desire peace. When the righteous
are in authority, the people rejoice and lead a quiet and peaceable life, in all
godliness and honesty. We pray against the trafficking of children and women
casued by poverty and forced cultural marriages of minors and women. Due to
the continent’s strong cultural identity, common heritage follows ethics. The devil
has used this to blind the church. The church has failed to differentiate between
the Kingdom of God’s principles and African culture. Let us pray for the eyes of
believers to be enlightened that they should be able to identify between culturism
and Christianity. The continent has the worst health indicators than other parts
of the world and we pray for the preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom, that will
bring healing of sickness and disease. We pray that corrupt leaders do not steal
resources that are purposed to build medical facilities that will provide best care
for the people. We pray that all the false ministers on the rise in every country on
the continent can be exposed and known for who they really are - that God rises
ministers that will preach the true Gospel for the harvest is ready. Salvation of
the continent is in the hands of the sons of God revealed. We pray today that the
church of Jesus Christ will come out of the cultural system and be separated for
the Kingdom of God, in Jesus’ name let us pray. Amen.
