DAY 27 - Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Hello and thank you for supporting our 30 day prayer campaign. Today, day 27,
we get to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. You may be asking, “Why do we need
to pray for Jerusalem?” One reason would be found in Psalm 122 where the
Scripture says that we are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. God instructs us to
pray for Jerusalem. Also in Romans chapter 1, the Scripture says that the Gospel
is to go out to the Jew first and then also to the Greek. So it’s in the heart of
God. It’s in the mind and the purpose of God that the Jewish people receive their
Messiah. And then also, in Genesis chapter 12, the Scripture declares that those
who bless Abraham’s descendants will be blessed indeed. Those that curse them
also will be cursed. Now, let me give you a few things that we can pray concerning
Jerusalem. Number one, we can pray for restoration and reconciliation of that
great nation to the heart of God. We can also pray that God will raise up watchmen
in every nation that will have a heart of God - that will have passion of God - that
will be willing to dedicate themselves to intercede and supplicate for Jerusalem.
We can pray that together. Amen. I’m encouraging you, certainly, to do that. And
then finally, we can pray that the people of this holy land will enjoy - that they will
have and will see with their eyes and experience with their lives the provision of
God, the power of God, the protection of God and, yes you’ve got it, the peace of
God. I know you are ready. Let’s continue to pray.
