DAY 20 - Pray For Missions and KBM
Pastor John Ward
Word of Faith Toronto, Canada
Praise the Lord everybody. This is Pastor Ward from Word of Faith Toronto. Welcome to day 20 of prayer. Today is prayer for missions and KBM. Let’s read from Matthew chapter 24, verse 14, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Notice this word ‘witness.’ The word witness here is marturion. It means evidence or testimony. Jesus said that the Gospel shall be a testimony or evidence in all the world, and then shall the end come. This Gospel is to be preached not just in word, but in power. Our prayer should be focused that the power of God is demonstrated throughout the world. God is sending forth missionaries from the United States, from Canada, from all over the world, to different places as a witness. The people that go – God wants them to operate in His power, in His love, and He wants our faith to not just rest on the wisdom of man, but in the demonstration of His Spirit and power. The Bible says that the fervent, effectual prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working. So when we pray, we should be praying that signs and wonders are done and that the Word of God is being confirmed all over the world. And of course, Satan will do everything he can to stop the Word of God. That’s why we must pray for those that are being sent, praying for Bishop Butler, praying for other missionaries that God is sending throughout the world to preach the Gospel, as a witness, as a sign and as a testimony. Mark chapter 16, verse 15 says, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover…. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them,” As we are praying today, we are praying for God to use these missionaries, use every person in the body of Christ as an ambassador, not just with words, but with signs following. God bless you today.
