DAY 20 - Pray for Our Pastors

Day 20 - Pray for Our Pastors

Pastor Ray McClintock

WORD OF FAITH SOUTHFIELD, MI

I have the honor today to encourage you to pray for your pastor. God has designed our bodies to grow by eating and drinking. He has designed our minds to grow by teaching and intellectual stimulation, and God has designed us to grow spiritually by receiving from our pastors. Ephesians, chapter 4, says that God gave us pastors and one of their assignments mentioned in verse 12 is to grow us up spiritually. More importantly for today, we are going to go over our assignment as it relates to our pastor, which is in Ephesians, chapter 6, verses 18-20. It reads, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”Here is the part regarding your pastor”“And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” We pray for our pastors with all manner of prayer, including praying in the Spirit so that they can do what God has called them to do, which is to have utterance from Him, make known the mystery of the Gospel, speak the Word boldly, and grow us up into mature Christians. Our pastors need our prayers and God has assigned us to pray for them. It is our prayers that keep our pastors free to speak the Word. So as an act of your faith, pray for your pastor daily so that you can grow into the measure of the fullness of Christ. God bless you.
