Day 14 - Pray For Restoration
PASTOR GEORGE RIGOS
KENTRO PISTIS ATHENS, GREECE
Today, we are praying for restoration. God is a God of restoration. He doesn’t want to leave you where you are. He doesn’t want to leave you in the mess. He doesn’t want to leave you with the consequences of what the devil has done in your life. He wants to restore all. He wants you to walk in what He has called you to. He wants you to walk in the blessings. So today we are going to pray for restoration.
In Isaiah 61, verse 1 to verse 3, it says the following, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;” Praise God! God is good. Amen. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. The Spirit of the Lord is upon you. He has anointed you. He has anointed you to break out and to break through from where you are today so that your tomorrow will be better and the next day will be better and the morrow will be better and the next day will be better because God is a God that goes from glory to glory. So that is what we are going to believe. That is what we are going to pray and that is what we are praying for today.
It continues to say, “To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;” God is good. “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning…” There is no mourning in heaven, and God doesn’t want there to be any mourning over here. Mourning comes because of loss. We are not going to mourn because of loss but we are going to rejoice because of who we are in God and what He has provided for us. Praise God! We are praying for restoration. Get ready. Get ready. Get ready to receive all that God has for you.
And he goes on to say, “the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.” God wants to be glorified in your life. God is going to be glorified in your life. In verse 7 it says, “For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusionthey shall rejoice in their portion: “The devil is the author of confusion—not God. So you are going to rejoice. No more confusion in your life, in Jesus’ name. It goes on to say, “therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.” Let’s get ready to receive it. Let’s get ready to believe it. We are praying for restoration – restoration in your life. It’s time for you to break out. It is time for you to break through it. Don’t stay where you are but look to what God has promised you. Let Him restore all the promises. Let Him restore what He has for you. But then, it is not only for you.
Today, let’s also pray for our families. Let’s pray for relationships. Let’s pray for our church. Let there be restoration and above all, wherever you are—I ask you—I encourage you to pray for your nation. It is not only America the needs restoration. It’s here in Greece. It is everywhere that we are. Right now is a time where the world needs restoration. Pray for your nation. God has put you where He has placed you because He has given you the assignment to pray for the nation where you are. So praise God that you will be restored… that you will see the blessing …that you will walk in the fullness of it and where you are shall be blessed and your nation shall be blessed and your family shall be blessed and your church shall be blessed. God bless you.
