DAY 11 - Pray for Unity in your Nation
Minister Anjolo Fielder
Word of Faith Southfield, MI
Welcome to our next day in the 30 days of prayer. Our prayer focus for today is going to be pray for unity in our nation. The Word tells us in Psalms chapter 133, verse 1, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” There are a lot of attacks that come across the lines from race to religion to political stance to you name it – we can find a point to be discorded on. But God has called us together in unity. The same Word tells us that it is not God’s will for any to perish but for all to come into repentance. When we read in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life,” we have to remember that God so loved the world – not for God loved just the ones who would choose to follow Him, or not for God so loved this person with this agenda. For God so loved any person who can ever come into existence that He gave His Son. So as we pray for our nation, we are praying for people from any affiliation, from any of religion, even points of contention where we disagree – that we not focus on the disagreements – that we focus on the ability to agree in how God sees us and how He views us. I want you to remember Romans 5:8. It says, “God shows His love for us that in while we were sinners Christ died for us.” Christ loved us and died for us when we were wrong, not when we were right. So let’s not focus on what may separate us, but we want to focus on how God will bring us together to open doors, to change our nation, starting with our prayers today. Let’s pray.
