What’s up GPhi? My name is Josh Andrade from Southfield, Michigan. Today we will be praying for the peace of Jerusalem. In Psalm 122:6-9, it says to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. The song was originally written in Hebrew and the Hebrew word for peace is shalom. It means wholeness and tranquility. So, in order to pray for that wholeness and tranquility over Jerusalem, we must first pray for its leaders and secondly, pray for its people so that they can live in all godliness and honesty. But also, the Word says that when you pray over Jerusalem, you also pray for yourself. So when you pray for Jerusalem’s peace, you pray for your own peace. When you pray for Jerusalem’s protection, you pray for your own protection. So, today in your own private prayer time, make sure to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and expect a great blessing from God in return.
