We are ending up and I want you to know you are making a difference. You know, earlier this month I read to you from first John chapter 5 and it talks about that when you pray the Lord’s will, you know that He hears you, and whatsoever you pray knowing that He hears you, you rejoice. We are rejoicing because we know that what we prayed was in line with the Scripture.
Hello and thank you for your participating in 40 days of prayer. Today we are going to pray for members of our HELPS teams and behind the scenes workers.
Welcome to 40 days of prayer. I am so glad that you joined me today. I want you to know that today we are going to focus on praying for our small groups. Now, you may be from another church and you may not have groups there, but here in Southfield the focus of our groups is to do life together with other believers. I know everyone has a group of people that they are doing life with.
Hey you all. I am Minister David John. Let’s begin today’s devotional by reading Ephesians chapter 4, verse 7, 8, 11, and 12. It reads, “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Welcome. Today our assignment is to pray for our pastor. Our pastor needs our prayers. I know sometimes pastors are placed in a different category - one that is exempt from any and all attacks. Well, that is simply not true. They face the same challenges and have to believe God the same way we do. As a matter of fact, in Luke chapter 4 we see where Jesus was tempted by Satan.
This is day 35 of 40 days of prayer. We want you to pray for your church and its mission. Any church that God has called, God has a specific assignment and a specific mission for that church. Many churches don’t even find out what their mission is.
Praise God. Isn’t it wonderful to know that we have a Father that hears us every single time we pray? The Bible describes us as already being seated in heavenly places at the right hand of the Father with Christ Jesus. The same authority and power that Jesus has, we also have while walking on this earth. We are the ones that are supposed to pray against forces of darkness.
Today we are going to pray for promotion. How is that? You might want to be promoted on a job, or you are single and you want to be promoted to being a spouse, or maybe, you are serving in your church and you want to take on a bigger role and be promoted in the things of God.
Hello. Today our prayer focus is wisdom. Proverbs chapter 4, verse 7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing.” And what that means is that wisdom is very important. Wisdom affects every facet of our life. It affects who we marry. It affects the character of our children. It affects where we live. It affects how successful we are in life. It affects our health.
